in search of the perfect headware

Next Saturday, myself and a few friends are of to the amazing Rivoli Ballroom in Brockley.
People often think that North and East London have all the best places to go in the evening. But really they all know that nothing beats this amazing ballroom in South East London. I think it is the only original 40's ballroom that is unchanged and still in use. its just fabulous, and has now been listed, so no one can hurt.
They do have different nights , this one i have not been to before. It is not a jive night or vintage but from the website it sound like anything goes as long as you dress up. i love the fact the website has to stress that nudity is not allowed....!
It's not vintage but of course i will - be as thats what i like to dress in.
i searched for a dress for a special night .........

i have taken a huge leap of faith and bought this dress from etsy. It has to arrive all the way from New York to London by saturday and it has to fit....but i fell in love. i thought it was a really reasonable price - if i got this in London it would be over £100 easy. One good thing about living in the most expensive place in the world means that when you buy abroad it feels good. i also know i can sell it on here.
but i need the perfect headwear...
Here are some of the ones i found
the good the bad and the ugly? what do you think

crazy but quite cool?

love love love but wrong colour..

needed this a few weeks ago - would have looked stylish in the snow

a little too prim?

perfect...
just cant afford it!
i will let you know what i go for and if it fits.
tonight i am going to try make number 4 in my make list.. falling behind already.

  1. *love* the dress. I actually did a wolf whistle in my head when I set eyes in that! I also love the floral one, agree not quite right.No.4 is a show stopper indeed.

However thinking of having something ready for the big night, could you get some netting and make a bird cage style fascinator? Finger crossed the dress arrives in time.
