new dress and no where to go....

I treated myself to a new dress on Saturday and after reading ladycherrymakes blog last week on posh teas in fabulous setting i was in the mood to have a go out. The dress felt quite 60's - different for me and i usually go for something more 50's, but i just saw and liked. I have a thing about my arms so try and hide them with a cardie
My peachy shoes matched well.

But it was not to be. grrrrr Much badgering had me baking a cake
and taking the dog for a walk in the woods
so the dress came of and jeans were put on. No glamour for me,but i did have a lovely time though, and got to do more of my cross stitch so not all bad.
And the weather was great and hope springs for happy sunny days ahead. Must go swimming to get my arms summer ready!

  1. Lovely dress Miss Ginger shame you had to go for the jeans but with this lovely spring weather (if it continues) you should be able to wear it soon.

  2. Hope you get to wear it soon. I am swooning over those shoes. Lovely! Here in Australia we are having beautiful Autumn days and the mornings are starting to get colder and darker. Fine with me.

  3. Lovely springtime dress. Reminds me of ice cream and seaside merry-go-rounds, all pastel and cute.

Shame you couldn't wear it right away - I had a similar weekend. Wished for glamour, but ended up cleaning the bathroom etc' in trousers and a t-shirt. The trousers have a sequin design round one ankle but that was as glam as it got!
