cute animals...

I love this new fabric I am now stocking from Elizabeth Studio, I do have a 'thing' for animals

A vegetarian from the age of 13. Because I just hate animal cruelty and how could you eat something so lovely just to fill your tummy?

And of course I have my Frank, the coolest cutest dog in the whole world. I am so lucky to have him. Not only is he super handsome but he is also great fun

A little lazy, so just loves to be comfortable and have a cuddle.

He hates having his picture taken, but when you look this good you have to put up with it!

 

I am looking forward to spending time with him this weekend .

mouse light, builders and fabric

Hello to all. I do you are all enjoying the tiny little rays of sunshine that have been poking through the clouds at last. I love the fact that i finally have some colour coming out in my garden but tonight i am concentrating on inside.
I went to Brighton last week to see a friend i haven't seen for 20 years. It was fabulous seeing her and although we have chatted on the phone, it felt it had just been a few months. I also got to look round the shops and couldnt resist this beautiful (well tacky but wonderful - i think!) deer head light. i have it behind my bar for a proper cocktail experience.

 Work has started on removing the rather foul downstairs toilet, and when thats done i can get some carpet and wooden floor down, which will be a massive relief as i think it will mean i am almost done in home improvements.

 More fabric arrived  - all safely packed away from the work - i will show in detail soon i hope. My website is coming along and i really cant wait to show of some of it.... but look out for

wake up and go for it

 Frank is very good at sleeping and me to.. but tomorrow it is up and go go go and sew sew sew. Loads to do and time to kick myself into gear.

Lettice does not like to be woken

 But then see this beautiful fabric, one is bang new.. one is 60's and one is 30's. Yes 1930's fabric and i now feel brave enough to make something with it..... oh my can you imagine if i ruin it?

long weekends, and a bit of GB.

How lovely to have a long weekend. Frank got a lovely walk in our local park. It is really lovely, but i got cross with the amount of litter. OOO am i getting old but it really did annoy me. It was great weather and Frank had lots of fun and was very sleepy after - meaning i could relax and get on with the day in peace! I had time to carry on with the cross stitch i have started
I also took some time to look at some blighty stuff on the net (the wedding yesterday did bring out a bit of british pride).

I loved this little hat

But completely fell in love with this necklace. They also had it with the Queen and the Queen Mother on it.

I love London (sometimes)

What a busy day - I had to take my fabulous daughter (she really is the best daughter a mum could have) to St Thomas hospital for an appointment. It is only for her little finger, as they wont go straight. She has been having physio and we had to check with the nice doctor that it was working. They are a bit straighter so we left happy despite my daughter saying he had horrid coffee breathe..

I got to do some cross stitch before we left ready to hang in the shop (fingers and toes crossed)

As we were in central London we decided to do some window shopping I have the cook book for the Humming bird bakery so it was fun to see the shop and i liked the way they displayed the cakes But i LOVED the way this bakery used fake grass stuck on the window. Doesn't it look good?

I really wanted to see Kleins. Its a haberdashery in soho and has been around for years and i have never been through the doors - until now.

Back home and my daughter Isabel finished the cow she has been making for her Duke if Edinborough award

My lovely puppy messy up the cushion i made, and the clothes i had ironed, that will teach me not to put it away.

And i got a solicitor for shop..

now to pack everything up for this little piggy goes to market tomorrow. I will let you know if i sell anything.
