matching, hatching and putting together

Another lovely weekend, with the sun shining and my mind focased on Miss Ginger's and moving forward.
I am still writing my business plan, which i am afraid i find very dull! I know it has to be done and is actually really good for me to do to get my head round how i am really going to make some money.... but snore!
To me the best bit is doing things like this...
Lots of lovely ribbon all beautifully packaged. It is  such nice ribbon and really good quality. ooo i wish you could feel it!

My labels all ready to sew in to my tops
and then matching ribbon and fabric in preparation to make up packs for people to buy to make their own customised top.
I really enjoy playing with the colours, and sometime matching feel right, but then i do like a clash now and again. But it will be up to people as to what they really want. These are just my suggestions

I have made a top and a skirt which i shall share next time. Ok i can not put it of any more... it's business plan time again. or maybe i should make dinner?!!!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend with maybe a little fabric/design/craft fun!

with pleasure comes pain..

Now, as some of my people who read my post on saturday will now, it was a big day for me.
A party at my house for the Eurovision song contest. I was up at seven cleaning and shopping.
Making everything eurovision friendly..

Flags to hide the messy kitchen!
Everyone bought amazing food, which i just think looks fab with all the flags in. These two pictures don't show the half of what we had. And then of course everyone bought drink from different countries.
So as we watched and cheered, groaned, laughed and scored food was eaten and drink was drunk
I do like a little vodka, and prosecco, and cava.. As i had over 30 people over it meant there was a great atmosphere and lots of countries food and drink to choose from!
This was just the front room...
So yes the next day i was in pain!! I thought my head would explode as i did the big tidy up (why did i clean for the party!!!)
It was a great night even though i don't think the best song won. My heart was with Denmark, but then i am biased. I love Demark, beautiful country with fabulous design.
I had to show you the above picture, it's not a great image, but on sunday we had two great fat ducks in our garden. Can i remind you i live in built up South London, and no one i know has a pond or river. It was so strange but rather lovely.x

I did manage to make two tops. I have adjusted a pattern and used an old top of mine to come up with this design. I really like it and they look lovely on. I will be putting them on for sale soon. Please look out - as i also want to do a giveaway with one..
My head is nearly back to normal but i now have an eye infection. Thats what happens when you party too hard!

OOOO i adore fabric!

I love London (sometimes)

What a busy day - I had to take my fabulous daughter (she really is the best daughter a mum could have) to St Thomas hospital for an appointment. It is only for her little finger, as they wont go straight. She has been having physio and we had to check with the nice doctor that it was working. They are a bit straighter so we left happy despite my daughter saying he had horrid coffee breathe..

I got to do some cross stitch before we left ready to hang in the shop (fingers and toes crossed)

As we were in central London we decided to do some window shopping I have the cook book for the Humming bird bakery so it was fun to see the shop and i liked the way they displayed the cakes But i LOVED the way this bakery used fake grass stuck on the window. Doesn't it look good?
We went to china town
Chinese sweets
I really wanted to see Kleins. Its a haberdashery in soho and has been around for years and i have never been through the doors - until now.

Take a look at the sneaky pics i took..

Felt

i was very naughty and pulled back curtains to reveal lovely old drawers full of goodies
i have never seen so much ribbon

Back home and my daughter Isabel finished the cow she has been making for her Duke if Edinborough award
Isn't it good?!
Beware rude picture below...............

My lovely puppy messy up the cushion i made, and the clothes i had ironed, that will teach me not to put it away.

And i got a solicitor for shop..

now to pack everything up for this little piggy goes to market tomorrow. I will let you know if i sell anything.

ribbon and cotton

After all the lovely comments i had to paint the shelf next to the dresser the same colour. I told you i was on a roll! It also means that i can now see what cotton and ribbons i actually have - rather than hidden in tins.
I took up a dress for my sister yesterday, will it be the right length? She is doing my hair
on monday night (great to have a hairdresser in the family) so if the dress is too short maybe she will give me a skinhead?
shall i go to brighton tomorrow.....
