new fabric,new pattern

Today Mr lovely postman bought me no bills. Instead he bought me this new dress pattern. I thought it looked harder than my last dress but not too hard. I like how it has 6 different lengths, for tops and dresses.
I also have some new fabric in, and have to now decide, what kind of dress/top and with what fabric.
They are all very different and i tried not to get my usual flowers.
How am i supposed to decide? I think I will be staring at them all for quite a while. I am aslo so scared i will get the pattern wrong and waste the fabric. I shouldn't i know at my age but i may have to call my mum!
They would also look quite nice in my old easy pattern. I do hope to sell some of those tops i made before (did i say i made another with some ric rac at the bottom?) Half term is approaching and i would like to do a stall at Greenwich with the fabric and some tops i have made..
Help! I do so love all your opinions, they are really so helpful.
xx
Oh and don't forget the Eurovision semi finals tonight! so exciting!

the pattern and spelling mistakes..

After your lovely comments about my dress and top here is the pattern i used. Young Fashion...mmmm should I have used it? ha ha. But i think my fabric choice was better! ohhhh!
Now to the danger of spelling mistakes. I recently put this fabric on Etsy. The title was meant to read. Cath Kidston fabric, flowers on blue with white polka dots. As the super tiny little stitches pointed out....
what i actually wrote was
flowers on blue with shite polka dots..................!
it took me a while to change it as i couldnt stop laughing! weirdly before i did change it i sold two metres and now i have i haven't sold anymore. Maybe i should change it back.

the ups and downs of making my first dress

I have had a busy day trying to make my first dress.

The dress Pattern all laid out making me scratch my head. Luckily my mum came over to help, despite declaring she hadn't made a dress for 30 years. It did seem at times that it was the blind leading the blind! But mum was much better than me!

I decided to trace over the pattern and cut the tracing paper, that way i can use the pattern again if successful... I was happy with all the fabric cut out and the pockets put in their correct position.
Lettice tried to get my attention..
Mum had now gone home and i was left to fit the top straps. AND yes, you got it, i got flustered and gave up!
i did do the hem (even i can do a hem!)
And did sew on the pockets..

Now its gone 8 in the evening and i still have to write my business plan (boring!).

i will do the neck of dress as i really want to wear it (as suggested i will wear over jeans until i win the lottery when i will wear it on a beach in thailand...).

oooooo arrrrrrr

Today i choice my first dress pattern..... it said it was simple to make and doesn't have zip, so the plan tomorrow is make this without swearing or crying.. i am going to make it with this material. i loved this too so thought i would try and make a simple a line skirt. Think i may have run away with myself.!
They go well together too, so i am hoping for some left over fabric for a cushion.
I haven't forgot my royal knitting and all the body parts have been made for Camilla!
Can you spot the legs?
